That's what I wanted to say in my last post. You were more succinct and to the point.

YAY SPRING.

It's SPRING

NOT WHERE I LIVE IT ISN'T >:|

(disclaimer: I do not live in the Southern Hemisphere)

In Alsace Spring has apparently decided to be a cock tease and offered us one SPLENDIFEROUS day on Tuesday and then went all "O HAI I HIDE THE SKY BEHIND A THIN BUT HOMOGENOUS LAYER OF CLOUDS". And then we got the additional bitchy wintery wind and now the rain.

...Sorry, I just needed to vent XD

We're getting our comeuppance here. It was gorgeous all January, pretty darn nice all February, but today? 47F and pouring rain. On a Friday. We had to streeeetch it to cover a day's worth of activities...

Oh, and there was a tornado like 20 miles north of me. PLEASE COME BACK WINTER, I MISS YOU! YOU WERE BETTER!

Oh, yeah, I got out of work, where it was warm, and... brrr, with cold rain. However, my maple trees know that spring is coming and are blooming. :-)

There was a tornado in the Bay Area? Where? Gah...!

Things have been blooming here since January! Really, it's been ridiculously nice, so I can't complain, it's just Friday after a long week and so cold and pouring rain made for a long day with a toddler. And then everyone else in the country seems to be having beautiful weather, haha.

Apparently the tornado only touched down in Santa Rosa, way north, but all of San Mateo was under a tornado warning for about an hour this morning. It was pretty surreal. A water spout was photographed at Ocean Beach in SF, but it didn't come ashore so it wasn't classified as an actual tornado. It was rumoured there was one in Belmont/Fremont but I haven't seen any proof.

Speaking of proof, I can't find any for this, but there is a lot of talk that an earthquake is predicted for the Bay Area tomorrow!

The way it generally works is that lovely white and pink fruit trees start blooming in February and then get de-blossomed by the rains shortly afterwards. Some of the blossoms are holding out still. However, I heard hail earlier tonight (along with two hours of thunder and lightning), so we'll see how things look tomorrow.

Really? Quake predictions? I've felt so stunned over what Japan's going through that I don't think I have any energy left to deal with a quake here! Oh, San Andreas and Hayward and any other faults out there, just... don't do it, please. :-p

Well, we've made it to almost 7 PM and have been earthquake-free so far -- mind you, there are about five hours of the day left to go...
